So, why join a class, and learn with me?
Along with top quality instruction, (I’m an experienced and qualified professional arts educator!) you’ll also have lots of fun, learning along the way. One great advantage of being in a class is the social aspect, and sharing your creativity with like-minded people, no matter what level you’re at. These classes will be suitable for lots of reasons, for example:
-
MAYBE… you were given some paints as a present, but don’t know how to use them properly
-
OR… you’ve been painting for a while, but it hasn’t been working out in the way you’d hoped it would
-
EVEN… found an old tube of paint labelled ‘watercolour’ at the bottom of a drawer, and would like to learn to use it
-
HAD… a tough week at work and just need some creative ‘me time’!
Some of my class demonstrations
IF YOU ANSWER YES TO ANY OF THE ABOVE, THEN COME TO A CLASS! HERE’S MORE REASONS:
ALL MATERIALS (top quality paper, brushes and paints, drawing materials etc.) and refreshments are supplied – and there’s always cake and sweet treats!
The studio is spacious, light and warm and everyone has their own work space
All you need to provide is yourself – just turn up and create!
That’s a real advantage if you’re travelling by public transport, or walking. You’ll leave each class with a spring in your step, eager to show off your new paintings and practice the techniques that will build your confidence as an artist. There’s even the opportunity to display your class work in my studio gallery window for a couple of weeks afterwards!
How classes run:
Classes are supportive, fun and motivational. I film my demonstrations, which are projected large scale, so you can follow along with every detail without crowding around a table trying to see what’s going on. You’ll also get:
-
Lots of individual feedback and support from me throughout
-
Supportive comments from others
-
Sharing of work at the end, with suggestions for how to develop further
-
Follow up after the class, to keep you on track
