Hope to see you at Beatrice’s (156th!) Birthday Party 29th Feb 2020 at the wonderful Hill of Tarvit Edwardian mansion house in Fife. This promises to be an exciting open day full of fun and entertainment to celebrate the life of Beatrice Sharp. I’ll be there with ‘Meet the Artist Watch & Try’ sessions, where I’ll be showing a painting being created throughout the day. Please note though, I’ll not be giving instruction at this event – come to my Hill of Tarvit art retreat 13th-15th March, or look at the Tuition page for other upcoming dates, if this is something that interests you. This will be a full day of activities, including music recitals and fun things to do for children.

This coming weekend the 13th and 14th July, the Horncliffe Beer & Music Festival near Berwick on Tweed is the place to be. The Events Team have put together a family-friendly event packed full of music, food and arts – and I’ll be there too! There’s free entry, so come and join me and share in some lively sketching of the goings on – the bands, the food, the dancing… I’ll have lots of materials on hand for those who’d like to have a go using charcoal or line & wash. You can also purchase a sketchbook and materials to use on the day, and then add to after the event – and maybe sign up for some forthcoming classes while you’re there!
