Here’s the latest classes at my studio U52 in Glenrothes – the first to get more beginners up to speed with the basics in watercolour, the second for those with some experience. Click here for more details and booking.
Friday 14th April 2023 – 2pm-5pm: Watercolour Painting: Learning the Basics
Watercolour can be a tricky medium to understand, especially when just starting out. This class is ideal for learning the skills you need to start your journey, or as a refresher if you’ve not painted for a while. Please note – some basic drawing skills will be needed to follow along with the references – ask me if you’re unsure about your ability.
Sunday 16th April 2023 – 10am-1pm: Cityscapes in Watercolour
Working from photographs and sketches, it’s likely you’ll have completed at least two paintings by the end of this class. Subjects will be St Andrews, and Edinburgh. Please note – you will need to have used watercolour before, as there won’t be time to go over the basics here. You’ll gain the confidence needed to paint when out and about, and to use your own photographs imaginatively, as the starting point for creating artworks.
Cheers! Steve
